The warm weather has finally arrived, and with it comes shorts, sundresses and swimsuits!
We all want to have silky smooth summer legs, but busy moms don’t have time to break out a razor every day.
So if you want to cut down on your shower time, don’t miss these great tips for shaving less often:
Use a scrub, gloves or cloth to get rid of all the dead skin cells that could clog your razor. This also helps your razor reach the small hairs that are usually trapped under that icky dead skin.
2. Find the right razor
There are so many options available today – from triple blades to lubricating strips and more. Experiment until you find the one that works best for you, and always make sure you’re changing the blade on a regular basis.
3. Go against the grain
Make sure you do it carefully, but shaving against the natural direction of hair growth will give you the closest shave possible. Once your skin is softened by the water from the shower, start at your ankles and slowly move up your legs.
4. Soy butter
Real Beauty suggests that a lotion with soy can help fight re-growth while hydrating your legs. How does it work? Several studies have shown that the ingredient is effective at stunting growth and shrinking the hair shaft’s diameter.
If you really really really don’t want to spend a lot of time with your razor this summer, consider an alternative hair removal method like waxing. Sure, the ouch factor is significantly higher, but you’ll have super smooth legs for 2 or 3 weeks after the procedure.
